Uneasy Feelings
I’ve been having this strange feeling lately. Even though everything in my house appeared to be in order, there seemed to be something missing. I would make an effort to ignore it and carry on with my day, but it would always reappear. I would catch myself mentally reliving Madelyn’s discussions, wondering if she had more to say. But I was unable to sleep because of the persistent discomfort. There was undoubtedly a problem.

Weekend Surprise
I discovered my wristwatch stuck between the sofa cushions while organizing the living room during a typical weekend cleaning binge. I initially laughed at the revelation, speculating that perhaps I had been irresponsible. I usually don’t listen very much, but this time I stopped. It was there, as if it had been hiding all along, even though I don’t remember leaving it there myself.
