The Best Beach Hacks For Kids

Everyone loves a fun day at the beach, especially kids! Taking the whole family to the beach is all well and good, but it can become somewhat complicated and difficult with little kids. All kinds of problems can arise when at the beach, or even on the way back home. From the sandy mess everywhere to itchy mosquito bites and boiling hot sand, the beach can present an array of issues. However, don’t worry, because we’ve compiled a few essential hacks you and your kids will love! These will make your beach day a breeze.

Water Shoes

While they aren’t the most fashionable choice, they’re very useful. They protect the kids’ feet from the hot sand. On top of that, they won’t need to worry about accidentally stepping on a sharp shell and hurting themselves.

Baby Powder

This is a great trick! We all know that sand tends to stick all over, the legs and feet included. When you want to go inside but don’t want to trail sand everywhere, sprinkle some baby powder and watch all the sand disappear!

Mesh Bag

Get yourself a cheap laundry bag – the mesh ones can cost as little as $1. Use them to keep sand toys in. At the end of the day, you can just rinse off the entire bag with a hose to get rid of the sand!

Baby Oil

Get a tube of Baby Creamy Oil. It’s the perfect solution for mosquitoes. It keeps them away. Not to mention, it smells great and doesn’t have all those harmful chemicals mosquito repellents do. This also works at the pool!

Frozen Bottles

The day before, freeze some water bottles to use as ice packs for the beach. This is actually better than ice and will keep your food and drinks colder for longer. Also, this works for Gatorade, too. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can use balloons instead and when they melt, the kids can use those to play with!
